homage to Vincent

20 paintings featuring an impressionist landscape inspired by a photograph of the Overasseltse or Haterse Vennen. The photograph dates from September 2024. Pigment (with acrylic binder and water) on special paper, 48×36 cm – finished with a varnish. The final paintings allude to the dark end of Vincent van Gogh’s life; the brown (Van Dyck brown) occupies a larger area.
