landscape with photo
(2012 - 2026)Photographs of a landscape (often a marshland area) form the basis for paintings such as *Bruuk Groesbeek*, *Bruuk Kranenburg*, and the *Overasseltse* or *Haterse Vennen*. The execution is abstract. Pigments are bound with an acrylic binder and/or casein (water-based), and the painting is finished with a varnish (containing a UV filter). I took the photographs myself.

abastracts - landscape
(2024 - 2025)Abstract landscapes on paper—think of mountain ranges, marshes, deserts, and plains—centered on the horizon, the dividing line between earth and sky. The paint consists of water-based pigments bound with an acrylic binder and/or casein. A final coat of varnish is often applied, which also provides protection against UV radiation.

Often abstract and experimental, employing various techniques and media such as pastels, charcoal, oil pastels, watercolors, pigments bound with water-based acrylic binder, ink, sumi-e, photographs, etc. Created on a variety of surfaces, including paper, canvas, wood, and board.
